Accessibility statement

At The Salvation Army, we are committed to providing programs and services that are fully inclusive. This includes ensuring everyone can engage with our digital platforms.

As such, we have embarked on a digital journey to comply with the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.  A selection of Salvos personnel have undergone accessibility training use a suite of tools to recognise areas of improvement.

We are continuing to work on our accessibility, with the aim of reaching 100% accessibility compliance in 2024.  As of August 2023, we reached 70% compliance on our national website. In January 2024, we reached 97% compliance.

Your feedback

We appreciate guidelines, training and tools are important, and acknowledge that lived experience input is crucial in this process. We are working alongside our Disability Inclusion team to ensure we gain input from people with lived experience, to strengthen our digital accessibility experience.

If you would like to be a part of our inclusion journey to provide suggestions, advice or feedback regarding your interactions with our digital platforms, we encourage you to reach out to us: accessibility@salvationarmy.org.au
