Youth School Programs

The Oasis Program

The Oasis program is tailor made for the student group. The program may incorporate some or all of the following topics:

  1. Anti-bullying
  2. Body Esteem
  3. Managing emotions
  4. Managing stress
  5. Resilience
  6. Relationships
  7. Safe partying
  8. Self-worth
  9. Sexual health
  10. Social skills.

 

RAGE- Renegotiating Angry and Guilty Emotions

The ‘RAGE’ (Re-navigating Anger and Guilty Emotions) workshop is an anger management course for students aged between 11-17 years old. RAGE is a strength-based solution focused program that is hands on, practical and fun.

 

Confident Me

The ‘Confident Me’ program is primarily for female students. The program’s aim is for each participant to develop their self-confidence and resilience through identifying their personal strengths, worth, and purpose. This program has a holistic approach that reinforces individual differences through strengths, qualities and skills. It encourages uniqueness and young girls to identify their personal strengths, goals and potential.

 

Community Support Program

The Community Support Program is designed to allow students an opportunity to give back to the community. The students are immersed in the culture of the Oasis Youth Centre and given the opportunity to meet staff members and discuss relevant pressing issues facing our local community including homelessness, unemployment and financial hardship.

 

General Information

These programs can be run in schools and/or at the Oasis Centre for a group selected by you. These programs are flexible and can be modified to suit the needs of your group.
