CHC42015 Certificate IV in Community Services

Our partnership

The Oasis Centre Wyong is working with REACH for Training who will facilitate the CHC42015 Certificate IV in Community Services  here at the Oasis Centre Wyong.  Students will complete at least one day of theory in the classroom combined with practical on the job learning as a member of the Community Engagement Team at Oasis Centre Wyong providing support to vulnerable members of our community.   

Course description

This qualification reflects the role of community service workers who design and deliver personalised services to individuals and/or groups.  Workers provide support to individual clients or communities across a range of services.  At this level, workers may be independent with limited responsibility within established parameters and may be required to supervise other workers in projects or teams.  Please refer to the Course Flyer for student fees.

Intended Start Date: Thursday 24 May 2018

Theory Finish Date: Friday 9 November 2018

Training Day: 

Theory - Thursday & Friday

Practical - 120 hour work placement offered at the Oasis Centre Wyong on a weekly roster - 5 hour shift per week

Training Time: 9.00am to 3.30pm

Duration: 24 weeks

Work Placement: 120 hours practical training in our Community Engagement Team at OASIS Wyong

3) Application for Enrolment Form

4) Declaration Form

5) LLN assessment 

6) USI Number - if you do not have a USI apply online at

7) Photo Identification and if applicable proof of concession or exemption categories - please refer to the Checklist Student Eligibility for the evidence documents you need to provide

Please note that REACH for Training requires all of the above forms and documentation completed in full before your application can be processed.  REACH for Training will be in contact with you within two weeks to confirm your eligibility, training fee and confirmation of enrolment.

All training provided under the NSW Smart and Skilled Program is subsidised by the NSW Government. 

Additional Information 

Recognition – Students are welcome to apply for ecognition of Prior Learning, Recognition of Current Competency and Credit Transfer. Please request our Recognition application to apply.

Student Support Services – REACH provides support services for our students to encourage successful outcomes including referrals for LLN support, reading/writing support, family and community service support and child care support. Please speak with our friendly team for further information.

Travel Concession – NSW Travel Concession for public transport is available for eligible students. Please request our Travel Concession application to apply. 

Police Check – Students undertaking qualifications from the Community Services Training Package are required to provide a current Police Check and Working with Children's Check within 2 weeks of course commencement.

Cooling Period – The 14 calendar day cooling period allows students to withdraw from the course without any penalty and 100% refund of the student fee.
