Drug & Alcohol Youth Support (DAYS)

Oasis Youth Services provides support to young people in the Central Coast and Newcastle regions aged 12 to 25 years dealing with alcohol and other drugs (AOD) issues.

The misuse of alcohol and other drugs can have a damaging impact on individuals, families, and communities and that’s why we are here to help. It is important to get support if you or a young person you know, needs help to manage a substance use issue and/or anger issues related to AOD.

Counselling Support (Central Coast)

Suitable for Ages 12 - 19

Drug & Alcohol Counselling is designed to assist young people with mild to moderate substance use address barriers or issues relating to drug & alcohol usage through individual therapeutic interventions.

Criteria

  • Aged 12-19 years old upon referral
  • Experience mild to moderate AOD usage
  • Suitable for community-based treatment/not requiring inpatient detoxification
  • Consent to receive services/wish to participate voluntarily
  • Do not require immediate care for an acute psychiatric or physical illness

Psychology Support (Newcastle)

Suitable for Ages 12 - 25

Our Psychology service offers therapeutic support for young people experiencing mild to moderate substance use and underlying mental health issues.

A Provisional Psychologist will provide individual therapeutic interventions.

Assertive Casework Support (Central Coast & Newcastle)

Suitable for Ages 12 - 25

An individually tailored program that supports young people aged with mild to moderate substance use. A Youth Case Worker will work with a young person to find out their needs and support them in achieving their goals and enhancing their well-being.
