Oasis Hunter is a training delivery site of Booth College which is The Salvation Army's education & training body in the Australia Eastern Territory. Booth College, among other things, is a Registered Training Organisation for nationally accredited Vocational Training. Vocational training is employment based training that equips students with work skills. The vocational training arm of Booth College is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), registered by the federal government and approved to deliver nationally accredited courses.

The Olive Branch Café: provides the opportunity to develop hands-on work skills in all aspects of the operation of a functioning busy cafe. A holistic approach together with flexible delivery means that young people are able to progress at their own pace. Training participants also have access to Literacy/Numeracy individual tutoring and complementary work skills education and individual personal support. Participants are able to complete accredited training in Hospitality up to Certificate III.

 

RECOGNITION OF PREVIOUS STUDY AND EXPERIENCE - RPL and CT

We also offer recognition of prior learning for people who wish to seek formal acknowledgment of skills and knowledge already obtained through previous training and experience.

If a candidate has previously completed any AQF competency units included in Certificate III in Hospitality as shown on a Statement of Attainment we can grant them immediate credit transfer (CT).Alternatively, if the candidate is experienced in any aspect of this qualification and can demonstrate their current competency in any of the competency units included in an Booth College Oasis Hunter qualification, their competency can be recognised and provide credit toward award of the qualification (RPL). Application for RPL or CT must be advised on the Enrolment Application.

 

 This course has unique qualities to maximise student outcomes including access to counselling/case management, mentoring and post training support.
