SYDNEY BOYS HIGH SCHOOL

About their Support

Sydney Boys High School has been passionate a supporter of Oasis for many years. They actively participate in our Youth Ambassador program and have held several fundraisers in support of Oasis, including a talent quest with Sydney Girls High School; ‘Ramen for Oasis’ and hosted a lunchtime concert.

Each year Sydney Boys High’s entire Year 12 cohort dedicate their final day of high school collecting donations throughout Sydney to support a program that they themselves, as teens, can relate to –  the Oasis ‘Driving 4 Employment’ program. They all understand the difficulties of getting your P plates, and since 2010 the boys have raised over $79,000 for the Oasis ‘Driving 4 Employment’ program.

About Sydney Boys High School

Sydney Boys High School is an academically selective high school conducted by the NSW Department of Education and Communities. The school was founded on October 1, 1883 and moved to its current site at Moore Park in 1928. The school is bounded by Moore Park, Anzac Parade, Sydney Girls High School and Cleveland Street.

As the first government high school in NSW, the school has played an important part in Australia’s history, producing community leaders in law, science, the arts, business, finance, the public service, industry, politics, the professions, religion and in sport.

When you accept enrolment at High you become part of a very proud tradition. Students at our school seek to excel in academics, sport, leadership, citizenship and co-curricular activities. Students are expected to participate fully in school life.
