Choices is an in-house therapeutic program. It offers a wide range of voluntary therapeutic, free-of-charge services for young people.
The services and activities that comprise the Choices program include a weekly young parents’ program; a fitness and recreation program (Freeway); various education programs; and individual psychological counselling provided by registered psychologists with experience working with a range of mental health presentations. These include trauma, complex PTSD, depression, anxiety, anger issues, grief and loss, alcohol and drug issues, relationship issues, and disordered eating.
The psychological interventions used draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Neuro-psychotherapy, and mindfulness.
All therapeutic and psychological services are strengths-based and accessible without a GP referral.
