The Salvation Army offers a network of Christian chaplains to support you through any situation.
Our chaplains are committed to meeting people right at their point of need, providing material, physical and spiritual support. Our chaplains are skilled and caring listeners and offer the highest level of professional confidentiality.
At your invitation, our chaplains can also assist you in the journey of exploring beliefs about God, faith and spirituality.

Most other chaplains are accessible only through the management of the facility they work within. Contact a staff member in your location if you'd like to speak to a chaplain in these places.
Our court and prison chaplains provide caring support and friendship to people and their families before, during and after legal proceedings.
Our chaplains are available to provide emotional and spiritual support without discrimination for:
- Victims of crime
- Families of victims
- Families of offenders
- Court and prison staff
We can also arrange for a chaplain to support someone you know who is going to court, or help you find out about the welfare of someone who has been arrested, is going to court or is in prison.
Our rural chaplains provide support for people in regional and remote areas who need practical assistance, or who would simply benefit from a listening ear and a hand of friendship.
The Salvation Army has 12 rural chaplains covering most of NSW, ACT and Queensland. The Outback Flying Service also operates in remote and isolated areas. Our chaplains conduct regular visits to farmers and rural workers, maintaining ongoing personal contact and support between visits.
If you are in need of emotional or spiritual support and are unable to leave your home, please contact your local Salvation Army church.
