Who We Are

Salvation Army ministry in Manly officially commenced on 1 April 1894, on a site in Raglan Street started by Major Unsworth.

Sisters Captain Smith & Lieutenant Smith were appointed as the first Corps officers in charge.

There were large attendances, and there was great promise of success.

The Salvation Army Manly Corps was opened at its current location of 59 Pittwater Road on Saturday 14 September 1912 by Commissioner James Hay.

Salvation Army work in the area continues to thrive today under the new name of Northside Manly Corps, still based on Pittwater Road.
