Self Denial Fund

90% of funds donated to the Self Denial Appeal are used on program activities.

A maximum of 10% of funds donated to the Self Denial Fund are used to cover administration, program accountability and fundraising expenses related to managing the Self Denial Fund.

If administration and fundraising expenses exceed the 10%, the difference is funded by The Salvation Army’s General Fund.

Funds from tax-deductible donations are administered by our Australian International Development office in accordance with Australian Government standards and laws.

Funds from non-tax deductible donations are mostly administered by our International Headquarters in accordance with greatest global need. A small portion of administered by our Australian International Development office.
