A Word From the CO
Palm Sunday signals the beginning of what we call Jesus Christ's week of Passion. This is his final journey to the cross. Jesus is welcomed on the outskirts of Jerusalem by cheering crowds and troublesome Pharisees.
At last his mission to save humankind is almost complete. The crowds are shouting and calling out praises to their Messiah. The people gave him a wonderful welcome, some throwing their coats on the street, others spreading out rushes they had cut in the fields. Running ahead and following after, they were calling out, Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in God’s name! Blessed the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in highest heaven! Mark11:8 & 9 (The Message).
Their praise and adoration was short lived however as in less than a week many would be crying out, crucify him, crucify him.
May we never stop singing praises to God for all eternity.
