Kokoda Trek April 2017 - Full
In 1942 the Kokoda Track was the scene of intense fighting. Today, walking the track has become a pilgrimage for many Australians and those honouring the ANZAC spirit.
This trek is now full but we will be visiting Kokoda again in 2019. Expressions of interest are now open.
About the adventure
One of the world’s greatest treks, the Kokoda Track links the north and south coast of Papua New Guinea across rugged mountain terrain, tropical rainforest and unspoiled villages. This challenging trek is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, with every step you take helping The Salvation Army give hope to Australians who need it most.
Where will the funds go?
The money you raise through this incredible adventure will have an enormous impact on Australians who are in crisis and desperately need a helping hand. At the Salvos, we are committed to social welfare programs that service the need of our community and enrich lives including:
- Youth Services
- Rural Services
- Emergency and Disaster Services
- Recovery Services (including recovery programs for drug, alcohol and gambling addiction)
