Farmer talking with a Salvo chaplain

Rural Chaplains and Drought Relief Support

We can't stop a drought, but with your support, we can be there to help. The Salvos are called upon to help over 91,000 people every year by providing practical support at the coalface of an emergency.

Our network of rural chaplains supports people and communities in regional and remote areas across Australia. They deliver emergency financial assistance (e.g. help with bills, vouchers for farming supplies), goods and food, participate in community engagement activities and conduct regular visits to farmers and rural workers in need of practical assistance, or simply a listening ear and a hand of friendship.

Their help is critical on the frontline of an emergency, when people are impacted by tragedy out of their control.

Your donation can ensure we help as many people as we can, as fast as we can.
