Still Standing

The Salvation Army has spent years working with people affected by crisis or disaster, helping them get back on their feet.

We have met many people in places all around this great nation who have been impacted by a natural disaster, crisis or traumatic experience. We acknowledge their courage, resilience and determination to not allow these events to define the future.

The Still Standing mission

Still Standing is a film and resources which have been developed to provide you with information from experts who can assist you in the long term recovery from a crisis or disaster.

These experts include Australians who have suffered great loss, and recovered from previous natural disasters, as well as medical practitioners who specialise in disaster, crisis and trauma recovery.

We have heard so many stories, met so many amazing people and have been privileged to stand beside many as they have fought back. As we considered what more The Salvation Army could do to support people into the future, we were inspired to produce the following resource that we believe will be of help to many in a variety of situations.

The Salvation Army is grateful to the millions of Australians who entrusted us with resources to share with those who have been so significantly affected by disasters. We are particularly grateful to the well known Australian company who fully funded this project, but who has asked to remain anonymous.
