Church Life

It is the great commission, the fabric of all the church will achieve with God.  Mission is about bridging the gap between God and man and, as a result making God known personally to our community.

Discipleship is about getting alongside and encouraging spiritual growth.  Exploring Gods call on each person’s life and identifying gifts and developing talents.  Discipleship provides accountability and integrity.  It is all about growing up faithful men and women of God, who in turn grow alongside and feed the spiritually hungry until they are able to do the same.  Discipleship is being Christ like.

Fellowship is about not being alone, about fun and revelling in variety.  It is about informal learning and shared experiences.  Being connected and experiencing a sense of family.  Fellowship is about respecting and valuing each other.

Celebration is about the church gathering together.  It is the engine that drives what we do and why we do it.  Celebration is all about God and what He wants to do in us. It is about sensitivity and power, the silent moment and the roar of the saints in full voice.

Support Services is about a helping hand in a time of need.  It is the good Samarian doing the unexpected without expecting anything in return. This area is as much about how we do things as what we actually do. Community Support is about connecting a real need with a real solution.  It follows Jesus teaching of doing to others as we want others to do to us. It's about giving without expecting and about challenging what is wrong!

Business is about being a good steward.  It is about doing everything with integrity, accountability and honour.  It is about being professional and personal when working with others.  It is about being a part of the whole of The Salvation Army. The ministry of business is about bringing order out of chaos, keeping us earthed and in the real world.  It is bills paid, money saved, and knowing who does what and when.
