What is Stead House?

* See News *

Stead House is an old Sydney mansion that has been reconfigured by The Salvation Army into tertiary student accommodation for young women aged 18-25. It is a heritage-style home on the edge of Sydney’s Marrickville, not far from the heart of the city and only fifteen minutes from Sydney University by public transport. It is also close to UTS, Enmore TAFE, Ultimo TAFE and many others.

Befitting the spirit and commitment given to the community by The Salvation Army, Stead house reflects a Christian atmosphere. However, there are students from many backgrounds and cultures. Students are invited to become a part of the life of the community, but they are essentially independent.
