What we do

The Salvation Army International Development Office for the Australian Eastern Territory (SAID AUE) was established in January 2009.  SAID AUE brings together the AusAID (Australian government) funded programmes and the Australian Eastern Territorial initiatives which have an international focus.

Our focus is to work alongside communities every step of the way; from the process of ascertaining their needs through to the project delivery.
We believe that it is paramount to provide tools for sustainable projects, to train people and to enable them to achieve their full potential, beyond the project completion.

We serve without discrimination and share the Gospel where welcome. This is our approach to bringing a lasting change and thus to break the cycle of poverty. We realise that this is not easily done, but believe that as we build up relationships with individuals and communities in partnership with our donors, we will see a much greater impact.

We are prompted by God’s love for us and the acknowledgement that all people are created in His image. So we place value and dignity upon humanity. We hope you can join us in our efforts to make a world of difference!
