Where we work

The Salvation Army is at work in 121 countries aroundthe globe and so we have a wide field in which to work and partner, through our Salvation Army centres in both developing and developed nations.

SAID supports community development and capacity building by working in partnership with communities in Asia, Africa and the Pacific. Most of SAID’s development work is done through Corps (Salvation Army churches), enabled by a local projects officer.
SAID development areas include:

  • Water & sanitation
  • Education & vocational training,
  • Economic empowerment,
  • Livelihood,
