Songsters

The Parramatta Songster Brigade is a gospel choir that is part of the Salvation Army at Parramatta. It is a 40-voice (SATB) choir that is involved with weekly rehearsals, regular performances, outreach events and annual ministry tours (most recently to Adelaide, SA). The group has also been involved with overseas missionary efforts and released their inaugural recording, “Through the Fire,” in June 2008.

Each member of the Parramatta Songsters is a committed Christian who consistently worships at Parramatta Corps and lives a life consistent with the ethos and values of The Salvation Army.

As a choir, we exist to proclaim the Army’s message (salvation from sin through Jesus Christ) and to accomplish the Army’s purpose (the salvation of souls). The Songster Brigade works collaboratively with the Parramatta Corps in accomplishing its mission, which is lives changed by Jesus Christ through an integrated program of Worship, Christian Development, Evangelism and Community Service.
