POLLY AND ME & WALL BOY - Short Films
The makers of The Oasis documentary have created two new short films, 'POLLY AND ME' and 'WALL BOY', dramas based on the real lives of young people the director, Ian Darling, met during his two years of filming The Oasis documentary.
POLLY AND ME:
This short film is an intense, confronting story of a mother and child isolated from any support systems. It depicts the life an eight-year-old girl who lives alone with her mother and her only friend - a doll named Polly.
WALL BOY:
A shy young runaway finds himself forced into sex work at the notorious 'Wall'. A man in a car close by watches his every move. The Youth Worker from a Salvation Army outreach bus becomes desperate to break through to him before he spirals beyond the point of no return...
