Oasis to celebrate Drug Action Week 2011

22nd June 2011

The Oasis grounds at Crown Street, Surry Hills, will be transformed into a Drug Action Week Festival this coming Friday 24 June.

Alongside more than 750 registered events nationally, Oasis will be educating youth on the issues surrounding alcohol and other drugs. Supported by the Department of Health and Ageing, Drug Action Week highlights the achievements of frontline workers who make every effort to reduce drug-rrelated harm.

Between 10am and 1pm this Friday, Oasis will have an enormous jumping castle on site, as well as an African drumming workshop and henna tattooist. In addition to the many information stalls, there will be Beer Goggle competitions and the classic 'Spin the Drug and Alcohol Wheel'.

With a few of the Sydney Rooster's players on hand to look after the BBQ, as well as the opportunity to win prizes and a free showbag, the Oasis Drug Action Week will be an event providing both education and entertainment in a dynamic format.
