Congratulations to Captain's Paul and Robbin Moulds, both appointed Members of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2010 Queen’s Birthday honours.
Paul and Robbin were recognised for their extraordinary committment and work in seeking to improve the circumstances and futures of disadvantaged and marginalised Australians, particularly young people. Paul and Robbin have been involved in this work their entire adult lives, more than 27 years!
Captain Paul Moulds is the Director of Oasis Youth Support Network – a Salvation Army network of services working with homeless youth in Sydney. Captain Robbin Moulds works closely with her husband and is also the Manager of Streetlevel – a community centre that welcomes and cares for homeless and disadvantaged people of all ages.
Speaking about the award, Captain Paul Moulds says they are both humbled to receive it and grateful that the importance of their work has been recognised: “Many people are still excluded from enjoying the opportunities Australia provides, and the most important remedy for this situation is having dedicated people working on the front lines of human need. I hope this award inspires other Australians to consider dedicating their lives to this cause.”
