Oasis is one of the official charity partners for this year's event and we encourage you to get a group of friends or co-workers together and participate in this event.

From elite international athletes to those who have never participated in a fun run or walk before, the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival has something for everyone regardless of fitness level. There are four events providing people of all ages and abilities the once-a-year opportunity to run, jog or walk over the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The Family Fun Run starts at Milson's Point and travels 4km over the main deck of the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the Sydney Opera House. Get the family or a bunch of friends together and jog, walk or stroll in this popular event.

For more serious runners, try the full-marathon (42.195km) or the half-marathon (21.097km).

Supporting Oasis this year in this year's Running Festival are TV presenter Jessica Rowe and Rugby legend Robbie Deans!

Register your team now at www.sydneyrunning festival.com.au to take part. Don't forget to select Oasis as your chosen charity on the registration form and get ready for a great day out.

Oasis and Foxtel are running the Street TV course, now in it's fifth consecutive year.
Six young people from Oasis have been selected to undertake the hands-on six-week TV production course. Participants learn about writing, sound, video, scripting, editing and post production in order to produce three short films.

The films are then shown in various Foxtel Channels and during a presentation event on 26 March 2009. The course helps build self esteem and gives participants the confidence to produce their own work and tell their stories.

The Foxtel Street TV course is run as part of the Oasis StreetMedia program. The StreetMedia multimedia training centre offers disadvantaged young people fun workshops, intensive training and experience across a range of media including music, radio, film, photography and graphic design.

Managed by an ex-TV commercial and documentary maker, the StreetMedia training centre provides a creative and interesting way of engaging and connecting with young people and provides an outlet for self expression.
