Having spent the better part of my Christian life in youth at Macksville Corps (now Nambucca River Corps), I grew in my knowledge of life, friendships but most importantly God. Through this grounding I pretty much stayed within The Salvation Army.
There were a couple of times when I walked away from “the Army” but never from God. I heard God calling me to officership a few times but I always won the conversation ... until our “discussion” at Youth Councils 2008. It was there that through the then Lieut-Colonel James Condon (now Commissioner James Condon) became God’s messenger and I finally listened with an open heart and said yes to God’s calling on my life.
I, along with my wife and two children make up a small part of the training session of “The Proclaimers of the Resurrection” at the School for Officer Training. I thank God everyday for closing my lips long enough to hear his calling on my life.
