I went to Kingdom Come and had a totally awesome experience which I would love to share with anyone who would like to read it.

During my time at Kingdom Come, we went to four workshops. I was really looking forward to them but I wasn't quite sure what I would get out of them.

I went into the workshops not looking for anything in particular but came out with a new person in my heart.

One of my friends and I decided to go to a workshop titled, "Have you considered becoming a Salvation Army Soldier?" Neither of us had really considered it before but we wanted to see what it was all about.

The workshop was run by Captain Nesan Kistan. We both knew that Captain Kistan was an amazing guy and speaker so we were really looking forward to it. We walked in to find only a group of seven other people including Captain Kistan and his friend Alex.

By only having a small group of people, this gave us a better chance of really getting the feel of it. Captain Kistan began to talk about how we define a soldier and also how God defines a soldier. Looking around the group at certain times, it was really great to see everyone listening so intently and taking in every word Captain Kistan was saying. He touched everything that was on our hearts without even realising it. He talked and we listened. None of us wanted this workshop to end. He prayed with us at the end and then we all left.

I don't know how the others felt but I was really touched. My heart kept telling me to think about this. I had so many conversations with God after the workshop about what he wants from me. It was like a light suddenly turned on. I just realised straight away what it was he wanted me to do. It was so obvious! I had just gone to a workshop about becoming a soldier. How could I miss that? I was being called to become a Salvation Army Soldier. I am currently not quite old enough to start classes but I will definitely start as soon as I can. I am so excited for the day when I can stand boldly and proudly as a Salvation Army soldier.

In case Captain Kistan ever reads this, I just want to thank you sooo much! You really touched my heart that day, in a way that I knew straight away it was from God. God has used you in such an amazing way and I so thankful for what you did and said that day! Thank you!!!!
