General-Elect Linda Bond, currently leader of The Salvation Army in Australia Eastern, has been chosen as the next world leader of The Salvation Army!

Have you got an encouragement for our new world leader? Leave a comment below and we'll make sure they are passed on!

  1. Can I be a bit selfish and say I really don't want her to leave?
But, knowing how good she has been for our territory and having heard her preach and knowing what she is passionate about, I do believe she will be a very good General. I feel pretty blessed that we got to have her here for any length of time!
I know God will continue to use her for the good of The Salvation Army as the General so I shouldn't be sad to see her go.

  2. Don't worry, your not the only one!!! I really don't want her to leave! She has been such a blessing to all of us and will be sooooo greatly missed. I can't speak for other generations, but I can speak for some of the youth. After hearing Linda Bond speak at Kingdom Come (and dance for all of us to the Barbara Streisand song) I was sooo touched. She thinks that she doesn't connect well with young people but i have talked to so many people who thought that the night she spoke was one of the most touching and eye opening speeches they have ever heard!!! Linda Bond, you are AMAZING!!!!!!! You will be greatly missed. We love u so much!!!! Keep turning to God in everything you do!!! He loves you heaps!

  3. I sat in church once and Linda Bond was there and she came and sat next to me and we both talked just casually. She is a wonderful person and I have heard her testimony online, listened to her on ABC Radio and on the new ABC TV show One to One. She is a true disciple of Jesus and I think she will be quite powerful as the general.
