I'm 13 and from Blacktown City Corps. I grew up with the Salvos.
Before I came to Gospel Arts Camp (GAC), I didn't understand lots of stuff about Christianity. I wasn't reading my Bible as much as I should.
As I was sitting in the worship sessions, people were touched by the testimonies shared. When I looked around, everyone seemed so into it and I didn't really get what was happening.
As I started to read my Bible during the night and during the Bible studies, I started to understand what they meant and what they were talking about. It made me think about how my life should really be and how I should be helping people in all different ways.
When Lauren Masters spoke about how she was the product of a rape, it made me feel that my life isn't so bad.
God has helped me this week in understanding what people are saying and what they mean.
As I go home I think I'll understand more of what Christianity is about. I'll concentrate more in church and understand more.
