Banana Surgery

Works Best:

Play as an upfront game with a few selected contestants from the group. If you have a smaller group the game can be played in teams of 4 or less.

What you need:

  • 4 bananas
  • 4 plastic knives
  • 4 plastic plates
  • 4 small ‘operating’ tables.
  • Anything that can reattach a banana together. E.g.: Pins, needle, thread, glue, sticky tape, nutella, honey.

The Game:

Give each team a banana and get them to peel them and cut them into equal parts. Let them make as many parts as the team wishes. They now must put the banana back together using the materials provided.

The player/team that has performed the best surgery with the banana looking as good as new, or the best out of the bunch is the winner.

 Notes:

  • Place a time limit on the game so it doesn’t drag on.
  • Have contestants dress up in ‘scrubs’ to encourage the operating room feeling. You could also have nurse helpers for each player.
  • Have intense and tension building music in the background to make the operation feel more vital.

Excellent original idea. Thinking of having a fruity time and trying it with other fruits
