Works best:

  • With a large group that can be divided into teams of 2-4.

Need:

  • Lists of items to take photos of. Divide these into different point amounts based on difficulty to find.
  • At least one camera phone for each group. Most members will have one on them, or can share in a team.

The game:

Divide a large group into smaller teams of 2-4. Make sure that each team has at least one camera phone between them. Give each team one list and a time limit for when they need to be back by. Divide the list up into common items worth 10 points, increase the diffculty of items and award more points accordingly.                                      E.g. Bible may be worth 10 points, and An “In Memory Of…” plaque may be worth 40.

Let the teams run around trying to take as many photos of items listed. Teams may divide up to cover more ground but only give each group one list. Have leaders spread around the building to keep and eye on the groups.

The first team back may be awarded bonus points if they have all the items on the list. Any late comers may have points taken off them.

Notes:

Extra bonus points can be awarded for most clever find, or funniest photo etc.

Makes sure that all items on the list are able to be found before starting the game, walk around the building before hand making the list as you go.
