Delegate thoughts

Here are some reflections from day 2:

For me the call to officership is a continual question which needs to be answered. What does it look like to be a leader in the salvation army, does that equate to officership, and does being an officer mean that you are automatically a leader. I have more questions then answers, but that is probably a healthy thing.
- Jesse Caulfield

There have been many different things I have been waiting for God to answer in my life and I guess I’ve been waiting for those things to be answered in my way, the way I want. But God has his plan, and his plan is good. Not just for me, because my life isn’t for me, it is for God and what His plan entails. My life will impact, I know that and God knows in exactly which ways that will happen, so I don’t only owe it to myself to follow Gods plan but also to others, because it is the only way I can be effective in doing God’s work.
- Cameron Pethydridge

I was really moved this morning by the song ‘How I need You, Lord’. I feel called to work overseas, I’m in my final semester of my degree Bachelor of Education (Primary) but I know at the moment I’m called to work with children in Australia but I do struggle with how I’m meant to do this. Truthfully I’m starting to freak but deep down I know God has a place for me and I need to be faithful and listen to his plans and follow.
- Amy McPherson

There is no doubt that God is in this place and that He is ministering to everyone who is opening themselves up to Him. In the last session we were reminded that as Salvationists we all have to deal with the subject of officership…. While I have been an officer for 23 years now I was challenged again as to what I am doing with my ‘officership’ where I am at now? Am I really all that God is calling me to be? I thank God for moments like this when I am given space and opportunity to reflect on my Christian journey.
- Major Neil Clanfield

The unity of The Salvation Army worldwide is precious and amazing, and is only possible through Christ.
- Alana Reid

The week so far to me has revealed the might and immeasurable size of God. To see and hear 5 or 6 different cultural and languages all at once opened my eyes to God's size.
- Brad Clarke

All I can say from this experience is that I am pumped about being a part of a movement that is founded on Jesus Christ. I have been challenged to take a stand for Jesus Christ NO MATTER THE COST!!
