Works best for

Teams of 4-6 will work best. Number of teams are to match the number of frozen T-shirts prepared. Larger groups can be used to involve everyone.

Need:

  • For each team one T-shirt (Number of teams need to be guessed beforehand)
  • One plastic storage bag for each group.
  • A freezer to freeze the T-shirts prior to the game.

Preperation:

Fold up the T-shirts and place one in each bag. Place enough water to just surround the shirts. Place the bags in a freezer and leave at least overnight before the game.

The game:

Each team is given one bag. On "Go" the teams will figure out ways to melt the ice so that one team member can wear the shirt. The first to have a thawed T-shirt on is the winning team. They could run it under water or chip the ice away or melt it with their hands. Let each team be as creative as possible.

Notes:

  • This may cause mess so either do it oustide or on an easily cleanable surface.
  • Teams may run around the building, ensure any places or anything unsafe is locked.
  • If you want the teams to stay in one room bring possible tools to help get the T-shirt out.
