There are only a handful of movies that I watch over and over again. One of them is 'Hook' - the 1991 Robbin Williams Peter Pan movie.
There's this scene at the end when Peter Pan is about to leave the lost boys and he tells them each to look after every one who is littler than them. 'Too Small' (the littlest of the lost boys) asks: "Then who do I look after?" Peter tells him to look after: "Neverbugs. Little ones."
Within the church, we sometimes act as though you've got to be over the age of 25 and/or a leader before you can start helping someone grow. I like this Peter Pan idea that everyone should look after someone else - that no matter how young we are, we all have something to offer.
I encourage you to ask yourself and ask God - who will I look after? I reckon you've got something to offer someone right now.

I love this! I was really blessed by some of the leadership at my church when I was younger and was allowed to start running a dance group when I was only 12 (with adult supervision of course), but it was my thing and I was in charge. Children and teenagers have an amazing ability to grow when they are given opportunities for leadership. As a Sunday School leader I learnt from the 3yr olds each week, they have a very different insight to us...lol. Never too young or little to be important.
