Hi, I'm Tonyka and I'm 12 years old. I grew up in a Christian family and always said I was a Christian but I never actually knew what it meant.
When I was about nine, I didn't want to go to church anymore because I had lost some people and was starting to lose my faith. I went on pretending to be okay, but on the inside, I wasn't.
I started doing things I shouldn't have been doing and was going through a really rough patch where I wasn't going to school and I just wanted to hide from reality. It wasn't until about August, I think, when I noticed that my youth leader was coming to my school.
I started to talk to him and then one day I decided to go to youth group. I had a wonderful time so I kept going back, and then I started going back to church.
I ended up at Gospel Arts Camp and during that time, God filled me again. During that time to now, he has grown so much in me, and I don't want it to stop.
That is why in December last year I went with Teen Missions to Egypt to tell other people about my faith and to help.
