I've been to the Salvos almost my entire life. You could say I've grown comfortable in an Army hall, with the flags and the uniforms everywhere.
But recently, I've noticed a change. I've been uneasy. I look around, and I see the same thing, week in, week out. Same faces, same uniforms, doing the same things. People looking content. Comfortable.
This makes me uneasy.
Jesus doesn't call us to be comfortable. He calls us out of our comfort zone. And I realise that I've been comfortable for far too long. I don't know exactly what he wants me to do, or where he wants me to go. But I know he is calling.
And I'm replying, "Here I am Lord, send me".

You are so right Steve! I am discovering that Jesus wants us out of our comfort zone, fully reliant on him because that is how we grow. He asks us to serve in a way that can seem so out there, but His plans are infinitely better than our own.
