Youth Ministry Training Grants for 2010

Involved in youth ministry? Want to study?

The territorial youth team has some last minute funding available for Salvationists who are serving in a corps-based youth ministry in 2010.

Who? Any person who is serving as a youth leader (in a paid or voluntary capacity) in a Salvation Army corps in the Australia Eastern Territory and who fulfils the enrolment requirements as set by Booth College is eligible.

How much? Students will receive a maximum of $2000 towards their Booth College ministry studies.

Which colleges/universities can I study with? The funding is available exclusively for students who choose to study with Booth College.

Which courses are eligible? Students who choose subjects from the following courses are eligible to apply for funding:

Bachelor of Theology
Diploma Theology
Cert IV in Christian Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care

How will the money be paid? The money will be paid from the territorial youth team direct to Booth College

Can I receive the grant if I am doing non-accredited studies? If you are studying subjects that fit within an eligible course, yes.

What if I am in the middle of ministry studies? Do I qualify? Yes. The grant can go towards new or continued studies.

Applications for Semester 1 close January 5th, 2010.

  1. Hey Guys this is certainly last minute, closing on the 5th January! Only like 20 days to apply when a whole bunch of them are public holidays and people are off work and study. In any case sounds like a fantastic opportunity and I'm sure that several young people and young adults will take this opportunity up!

    Thanks for not just believing in young people but practically resourcing them !
