I read an amazing story on the train the other day....
"A Chinese man, who had half of his body amputated after being run over by a truck, has amazed surgeons with his recovery. The 79cm tall Peng Shuilin, 37, who spent two years in hospital having operations to re-route nearly every major organ, has opened a supermarket called the Half Man - Half Price Store." - MX
Yes that's right. This guy gets run over by a truck (enough to make anyone have a good sulk), then gets half his body removed and all his major organs rearranged (ok at this point I would be massively annoyed) and so what does he do? He could have become a homicidal maniac, or sat at home in a rocking chair collecting cats, but no he opens a business! What a legend. He even kind of makes fun of his situation by calling it the Half Man, Half Price Store.
Charles Swindoll said this once and I believe it. "I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes."
An attitude is powerful thing. It can help you overcome or be defeated. Our attitudes are often contagious to all those around us. Are your attitudes worth catching? I feel challenged to have an attitude that looks a bit more like the great attitude of a Chinese half man.
