God has been revealing more of himself to me in the short time of this year and the end of last year than probably any other time in my life.
It all started when I cried out to him after months of insecurity and of hiding my weaknesses. I cried out to God in desperation, in need, and in surrender. I then felt extravagant love, grace, and freedom replace the guilt and shame that had once dwelled within me.
Since this revelation, God has amazed me by turning my weaknesses into strengths. His love has motivated me to tell others of its extravagance.
At school, a weekly Bible study and also a weekly prayer meeting has started up as a result of other Christians and myself having a passion for God and the lost in the school.
I am also grateful for the everyday opportunities God gives me in order to share my faith either through conversation and/or practical ways of prayer and healing. God has been and will be moving within our church and school here in Pine Rivers.
One thing I have discovered through all this, is the power of prayer. As God's people, we are blessed to be able to communicate with our God! How awesome is that!
As our Father, God wants us to call out to him passionately and wholeheartedly. It is because of prayer that the Holy Spirit is moving in our church and amazing things are beginning to happen. We need to be consistently calling on the name of the Lord as individuals and churches and asking him to fulfil our needs.
Are we relying on God and trusting him with every area of our lives? He is our source of strength; so ask him for it!
Matthew 7:7-8 says "keep on asking and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking and you will find. Keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened."
Praise God that he promises to answer us when we pray! Prayer is the key. We need to be a praying people; a praying generation.
I encourage you all to continue to call upon the name of the Lord honestly, passionately and wholeheartedly, believing God will answer and do abundantly more than we could ever imagine!
