Works best...

In the dark!! With around 20 young people in a medium-to-large sized area.

What you need

  • 2 different-coloured groups of glow-in-the-dark wristbands (you'll need one wristband for each player, plus an extra 4-5 spares of each colour)
  • 2 round plastic garbage bins
  • 1 light-up soccer ball (from a toy store or big w)
  • 2 stacks of chairs (5-6 chairs high each)

The game

This game is netball in the dark!

Start off by taping the spare wristbands around the top of the bins. Put the stacks of chairs at either end of your playing area, and then put the bins on top of the chairs. These are your goals.

Divide your players into two teams, and give all the players on each team a wristband of the same colour.

The only rule: No running with the ball!

Turn off the lights and it's game on!

Notes...

  • To increase the difficulty, try to get a ball that has a 'strobe' or 'flicker' setting.
  • Remind your players that netball (and therefore niteball) is a non-contact sport!

Comments

  1. Our leaders ran this game last night at youth church and man did it rock! Everyone got unto it and loved it. Try it out!! Very much recommended.
