Last Sunday at church I heard a great message on Transforming lives. I was encouraged and challenged about what I am doing in my own discipleship and also how I am contributing to the discipleship or life transformation of others.
Although it is God who does the work in us, we need to play our part.
The Salvation Army is all about transforming lives. I am now sitting on the train doing some study and came across this quote "The church is empowered for transformed life in the world, authorized to act counter to the ways of the world."
If this is the case then we need to live differently to the world and we are empowered for the transformed life. It raises some questions for me and my journey:
1. What am I doing to grow in my faith?
2. How am I contributing to helping others grow in faith?
3. How can our church reach out to see the lives of those in our community transformed?
I would love to hear your thoughts on these questions and on transforming lives. Why not leave a comment?
Cheers
