Proud Times

13th April 2009

Well I feel like a proud parent, when I see some of our young people in our division stepping up into leadership.

Today I have visited Bowen Corps, that has a Kids Club on this week. Young people from Bundy are 'stepping up' to help Wes and Debbie (Bowen Corps Officers) and Feanny and Deb (Ayr Corps Officers and Assistants to DYS in the North) run the 3 day kids program.

We have seen most of the young people who have attended these Kid's Club make a decision for Jesus, and praying for more, more, more!

I am on an Acts of Random Kindness tour with some young people from Rocky, and a youth pastor from PNG who is on 3 months training in Cap Region and CNQ Division. We are going where the Spirit leads, and offering to mow peoples lawns and clean up yards.

Just as it is said in Evan Almighty, "we can change the world, one act of random kindness at a time"

We have had 3 people give their hearts to God in the Past 4 months and we are going for more!

Praise God that when we 'step up', God uses us and works through us to make a difference.

We were blessed to bless a lady today for God, by mowing tidying up her yard. While she is a christian, she was experiencing a few financial challenges right at this time, and we were able to free up some money to enable her to cover some of her necessary expenses. She was praising God, as were we!

Please Pray with me for Kid's Club Bowen, that  hearts and lives will be impacted for God.

And also for people to whom God will lead us, to make an eternal shift in their life focus, and come into an everlasting relationship with Jesus.

Keep up the Faith with action!

Jake
