Youth Ministry Internships

Feel like God’s calling you to be involved in youth ministry? You should definitely consider applying for a place as a Youth Ministry Intern.

What is a youth ministry internship?

A Youth Ministry Internship is 9 months of intensive youth ministry training. It is made up of three main parts:

Field Experience:

  • This happens at a local youth ministry under the supervision of a healthy, experienced Youth Pastor. Interns will be based at the Corps 2 days per week, fully immersed in all things youth ministry.

Academic Learning:

  • Interns will complete a Cert IV in Ministry, specialising in Youth Ministry through Booth College. Interns will spend approximately 2 days per week on study related stuff.

Spiritual Formation:

  • Everything you learn is only of value when it is built on a growing understanding of who you are in Christ. Throughout the year this will be facilitated by a mentoring relationship with the Youth Pastor you are serving under.
