The Red Shield Appeal Doorknock is one of Australia's biggest and most-loved charity events. Every year, thousands of Australians roll up their sleeves, put on their walking shoes and take to the streets to raise money for The Salvation Army.
Australia is known as the lucky country, but unfortunately that's not the case for everyone. Plenty of Australians every year find themselves in tough situations and turn to the Salvos for support. Your help at the Doorknock makes sure we're there to lend a hand.
The 2010 Doorknock is on 29-30 May, and we need 100,000 volunteer collectors to help make the Doorknock a success. It only takes a few hours and can be lots of fun. So sign up today, and be part of helping open doors for Australians in need.
