The Salvation Army: It's a Jesus thing

Jesus wasn’t sent to earth to make up a whole bunch of boring rules. He came to start a revolution.

He said that God wanted to end injustice, inequality, and poverty. And he began to train an amazing fighting force, a group of people who transformed lives, communities, even whole cities and nations. The secret? He simply showed them how to love God and how to love others.

Since 1865 The Salvation Army has been striving to follow the example that Jesus set, and throughout our history we’ve really seen lives, communities and nations changed. But the mission of Jesus is still just as important as ever, and this is no time to rest comfortably on past success. The world needs a new generation who are prepared to stand up and make their voices heard on the issues that really matter.
