 2 Corinthians 13:5

Examine yourselves to see if your faith is really genuine. Test yourselves. If you cannot tell that Jesus Christ is in you, it means you have failed the test.

Making us members of the church is something that Christ does. The Church is first and foremost an organism. It is the living body of Christ, made up of all people everywhere who are His followers.

Biblical hallmarks or characteristics often associated with being a member of the body of Christ (which are reflected in our core values) include:

• Saved and living daily by grace
• Participating in small groups
• Pursuing Christlikeness (sanctification)
• Ministering to the body of Christ (and those needing Christ) in the area of spiritual giftedness
• Stewarding of resources
