Oasis Youth Support Network
Volunteers play an important role at Oasis and receive a great sense of personal satisfaction and fulfilment in the gift of their time. There are a number of volunteer opportunities at Oasis throughout the year, from regular one-on-one mentoring opportunities to fun group/ team activities at one of our events.
Oasis Volunteer Training
Working directly with our young people does require some preparation through attending a volunteer training program which is held regularly throughout the year.
The program runs for approximately 9 weeks, with weekly workshops held on Tuesday evenings between 7:00 - 9:30pm. The program also requires attendance at one Saturday and Sunday workshop held at Oasis and one overnight weekend away - location TBC.
Once you have completed the training program you may be able to assist Oasis staff with our programs and services, or may become a mentor to a young person and/ or support our team of Outreach workers who conduct street walks and coffee runs throughout the inner city.
