Salvation Army Emergency services
The Salvation Army Emergency Services (SAES) teams are often found in the midst of crisis and disaster situations nationally and internationally. Our teams specialise in food services - providing for both displaced victims as well as the SES, emergency services and support staff that work to put-right disaster situations.
Over the years, the SAES have been involved in a range of situations including the Canberra bushfires, the Lismore floods and more recently Cyclone Larry on the north Queensland coast.
Most SAES volunteers come from Salvation Army churches, however all people are welcome to be involved. All volunteers must complete a one-day SAES Accreditation course before they are eligible to participate.
If you would like to be involved or are after more information, please call (02) 9740 9258.
