The Salvation Army offers week-long work experience placements to high school students.
Opportunities exist for students who are interested in most aspects of The Salvation Army's work, including service provision, corporate administration, communications, multimedia and Christian ministry.
Placements are heavily dependant on many internal factors, so please lodge your expression of interest as early as possible to have the greatest chance of being accepted.
Due to the nature of some of The Salvation Army's work, students may be required to spend a significant portion of their time observing rather than directly participating in activities.
Note: Placements within social or community services are possible but can be difficult due to the unpredictable and occasionally hazardous nature of those environments. For students who want a hands-on experience of Salvation Army social & community work, we recommended applying for the STUMP training week rather than work experience placement.
