The Edify Internship is an accredited 10-month residential training program, which runs from February to November each year. The year will be a rollercoaster year of service, relationship building, challenge and celebration. You will live incarnationally (on-site) and in community (with others) and will be intentionally discipled and mentored. The Edify Internship will equip you to love and serve the poor, and assist you in developing theological understanding and practical skills which will empower you to live in urban disadvantaged communities and work with at-risk young people.
During the Edify Internship you will also study to achieve a Certificate IV in Youth Work (CHC41808), a nationally recognised qualification that will make you employable in any youth specific service or organisation within Australia and beyond. It's our heart that every Internship participant would return 'home' confronted, renewed and empowered to better serve the lost, the last and the least in their context.
We are currently taking applications for February 2010. Admission will be given to applicants who have a strong sense of call to the program, are prepared for an intense year of mission, who are teachable and who are passionate about young people. Participants in the Edify Internship will be eligible to apply for Austudy to assist in payment for the program and their day-to-day living expenses.
