What is Biblical Justice?

The Centrality of Biblical Justice

 

There are over 800 references to righteousness and justice in Scripture. Drawing heavily on the work of Dr Chris Marshall, I highlight five biblical themes that are relevant as we consider the central place justice should play in the life of The Salvation Army in our contemporary world.

 

 

1.   Justice is based in the character of God

2.   To know God requires doing justice

3.   True justice restores right relationships

4.   Biblical justice has a partiality to it

5.   Jesus is the incarnation of the Justice of God
