MEGA Salvos Op Shop at BIG EXO DAY

“Its gorgeous weather at the Big Exo Day and the festival’s been going off! A bunch of young people are exploring the sights and smells, tasty treats, acoustic acts, extreme zones and bands, bands, bands! Then suddenly one of them points to a large tent in the middle of the Southee Complex, it’s buzzing with activity as people stream in and out … is that an … op shop? “Heck yes” they yell and bound into the white tent that says ‘Salvo’s Op-Shop’ over the entrance! It is like the best of op shops! A labyrinth of racks and makeshift shelves filled with hand picked vintage & retro threads. There’s bits and bobs stacked high and low, scarves, hats, sneakers and coats everywhere you look, and tonnes of beady jewellery to make dress-ups complete, all at bargain prices!
But it’s not only fun as they search and score for new wardrobe finds, but every dollar spent goes towards the incredible work of the Salvo’s in the community.”
At the BIG EXO DAY in 2010 The Salvos will host not only the super exciting Salvo’s Op Shop but will also launch the Find Your Mission webpage for young people who don't just wanna support the Salvos financially but join in with them in being a part of the solution to injustice in Australia!
On top of all this we'll be hosting chaplains/support people to connect with on the day as well as providing FREE INTERNET at the Street Connect Bus! Make sure to skip on over, grab some cheap threads and have fun as you be a part of something significant!
